February is often considered the month of LOVE. Valentines day has been one of our family favorites for a long while. We have a great meal with steak and veggies and the kids help decorate the table with a fine tablecloth and rose pedals, little chocolate kisses, Sparkling Grape juice, and fine plates. While we eat we go around and tell what we love about each family member. Sometimes it is nice to hear what each family member loves about you and that you are loved by each family member. Jesus said, “I know you love me if you obey my commands.” Love is an action. We need to express our love and not assume it. Love needs to be expressed and sometimes we don’t tell those that are the closest to us. So on this Valentines day, take time to sit around the table and tell each family member what you “love” about them and what makes them special. It will have quite an impact, especially on your children. John 14:23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
