Why does bad things happen? So God can get the glory. That is about all that I can say. In this last month I covered a lot of ground and was able to speak to many different people in different places. One day started in Fort Smith, AR. The flight was supposed to take off at 6:00am but was delayed for two and a half hours, which caused me to miss my connection in Atlanta. I was supposed to land in Knoxville at 12:10pm. At 1:15pm I was still in Atlanta trying to get on another plane. It was oversold. The next flight would get me into Knoxville at 6:20 pm. The problem was I was scheduled to speak in Newport,TN at 6:00pm My only shot was to get a rental car. That is what I did and hustled to Newport! I met Paula on I 40 with my luggage (that was put on the 1:15pm flight), we traded cars and I kept on going. I made it to Newport at 6:05 and the Upward Awards night had started. I quickly set up, handed my sound sheet to the soundman, changed clothes, grabbed a mic, and went on stage at 6:15pm afterwards everyone left and I thanked God for the opportunity. I realized that I had not eaten since 4:30 am and it was now 8:45pm. Two days later, the pastor called and told me that 7 adults and 2 kids had prayed to receive Christ that night that we know about. Wow. That made it all worthwhile. God had a plan! Thank you so much for your prayers.
